ruben kuzniecky (Friday, 10 October 2008) Rating: This is a beautifully illustrated book for children, parents and families of those dealing with seizures and epilepsy. The story is a simple one of friendship between a boy and a girl when Teddy starts having seizures. The book is well written and helps kids understand what seizures are and what do they have to go through with test and treatment. I found the explanation of the EEG quiet genial....It is like a phone and your brain is talking through the EEG.....very easy for a child to capture. The illustrations are colorful and vibrant and the paper material of excellent quality. This book is a gem and should help parents and children understand seizures and epilepsy. R.I.Kuzniecky M.D. |
